About Marie

Marie found her yoga practice 20 years ago and is filled with immense gratitude to share her passion of this transformative gift through Wild Flower Yoga’s 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training. Marie teaches vigorous, heart-felt classes to serve as the foundation upon which her students find joy, empowerment and radical self-love. Always a teacher and forever a student, she is honored to take this journey with you.

Marie’s Story

Yoga originally found me in 2002 when I began a holistic journey of treatment and management for Crohn's Disease. I was a teen, scared and confused. Yoga transformed my life, giving me health, balance, strength, and peace when life was scary and uncertain.

My practice has been my companion through life's ups and down. Yoga has helped me process, cope and and heal through grief, illness, stress and depression.

More recently, as a mom of 4, yoga is my tool for self care through the seasons of motherhood.

I am filled with immense gratitude to have developed Wild Flower Yoga’s Teacher Training Program. When you practice and study with me, you will experience heart centered classes that pay homage to the traditional nature of the yoga practice mixed with a practical and functional approach to asana designed for today's bodies and minds. My personal brand of teaching encourages personal exploration, with freedom of movement from both the teacher and student.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What if I have to miss a training session?

Not a problem! I have 4 kids and understand that life happens! Yoga Alliance requires a certain number of training hours be completed in person. If a trainee has to miss a day, we are able to make up the missed time individually. There is a fee associated with making up missed time.

What if I don’t want to be a yoga teacher? Can I still do teacher training?

YES! Whether you have a desire to teach or just want to deepen your yoga practice, YTT is transformational for all! In fact, there's about a 50/50 split of folks who want to pursue teaching and those who don't.

How long should I practice yoga before doing a teacher training?

There is not a time requirement, though it's recommended that you have a regular yoga practice so you have a baseline foundation to approach from. “Hard” poses or mastery of yoga poses is not required! This is a space to learn, get curious, and grow!

Are payment plans available?

Yes! Payments should never keep you from pursuing your dreams. Email the studio to discuss payment plan options.
