We are excited to announce the addition of Aerial to our class schedule. Aerial classes allows you to use the silk fabric as a prop to access traditional yoga & pilates poses in a different way.
Aerial Yoga
Experience the amazing sensation of letting go and releasing into the support of a soft aerial hammock. This is the same fabric that aerialists use in the circus, but in aerial yoga body weight is distributed between the fabric and the floor, (at waist height) allowing us to access traditional yoga postures in new ways. With a focus on poses, transitions, and building strength and flexibility this class will allow you to release tension and focus your mind. Standing, seated, forward bends, back bends, twists and inversions are examples of poses that may be offered in each class. No prior skill or fitness level is required as you can use the hammock as a prop for modifications as well as exploring more challenging poses.
