Beginner Aerial Workshop
Perfect for absolute beginners to aerial and mat based yogis alike. We’ll cover key foundational techniques and everything you need to know to feel comfortable, confident and at home in the aerial hammock!
Explore inversions, swinging, floating and hovering, learning fluid sequences, and experience a blissful floating cocoon savasana to finish your workshop session.
Expect to feel relaxed, lengthened and strengthened as you learn to fly and decompress the spine. Have you always dreamed of flying in the air? Are you ready to take your yoga and Pilates practice to new heights? Then Wild Flower’s Beginner Aerial Workshop is for you!
Attending a Beginner Aerial Workshop is required for all new aerial wild flowers regardless of the number of years of floor based practice. Your yoga experience will support you in your aerial practice, while you discover new ways of moving in the air.
Aerial Restorative
Restorative Aerial Yoga is a deeply healing, low to the ground, suspension practice in an aerial hammock. With the intention to restore and relax your nervous system, experience a deep pelvic release, decompression of the spine and lower back relief. In Restorative Aerial Yoga, swaying and swiveling the body from the base of the spine organically promotes spinal health and offers a safe haven for letting go.
More about Restorative Yoga: A restorative yoga sequence involves only 5-8 poses that are experienced for 5-10 minutes each, supported by props that allow you to completely relax and rest. With as little effort as possible, the bolsters, blocks, blankets, and pillows (in this case, the aerial hammock) support you in light twists, seated forward folds, gentle backbends and more.
Aerial Yoga + Flips & Tricks
In this class, we take it to the next level, creating more of a flow as we move through the sequencing, using the techniques of Vinyasa Yoga as well as Aerial Yoga. In this playful 90 minute class we will flow through a 60 minute Aerial class, and use the last 30 minutes to practice and perfect our transitions, flips, drops and more advanced poses.
This is a more advanced class, and it is highly recommended that all participating students have taken at least 2-3 Aerial classes BEFORE signing up for this class, as one needs to be comfortable enough using the hammock at a basic level before moving onto this kind of class structure.
Aerial Flips & Tricks
In this playful class, we’ll cover flips, tricks, drops, and transitions as you build your confidence, strength, flexibility, and balance.
Prerequisite: You must attend 3 of our Aerial Classes before attending Flips & Tricks.
Aerial Fusion
In this vigorous, up beat class you will defy gravity with a blend of Yoga, Pilates, Barre and suspension fitness performed with aerial silk hammocks.
